SUSPENSION
The Hightower’s looks have changed radically. It wasn’t to satisfy the ego of a designer or stand out, but rather moving the location of the lower link and the shock down low and forward was paramount in lowering the anti-squat for a high performing bike like the Hightower.WHAT IS ANTI-SQUAT?
Anti-squat refers to how much your pedaling inputs stiffen the suspension. Think of it as yanking your chain, and therefore your pedals, backwards every time you hit a bump. Not enough anti-squat and you have a bike that bobs under power. Too much and the bike will be harsh and not as able to absorb bumps while under power. We’ve worked hard to improve (reduce) anti-squat on our bikes and the result is more traction and more freedom.MILLIMETERS MATTER
Moving any of the VPP™ pivots a couple millimeters in any direction makes wild adjustments to the ride quality. The lower VPP™ link is placed low and forward to optimize anti-squat. The result is a plush, open feel with a lot of traction.MORE TRAVEL THAN THE NBA
150mm of rear 4th generation VPP™ travel and a 160mm fork give the Hightower the brawn to back up the brains of all the enginerds kinematics. This suspension travel sweetspot gives the Hightower a broader riding envelope, meaning you’ll be pushing yourself and not the bike.HARD-WEARING HARDWARE
The pivots and links are great at maintaining a consistent ride for many years. It’s all very tough, reliable and easy to work on. The lower link houses a geometry adjusting Flip Chip and beefy pivot axles that are durable and stay tight due to the conical washer locking system. We use only the highest quality Enduro MAX sealed angular contact bearings and premium fasteners for our linkage assemblies. They’re easy to properly torque and maintain, plus we offer free replacement bearings for life.GLOVEBOX

Über Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz ist ein exklusiver Fahrradhersteller mit Fokus auf sportliche und extrem leistungsfähige Mountainbikes. Im Jahr 1994 vom MTB-Fanatiker Rob Roskopp in der namensgebenden kalifornischen Stadt Santa Cruz gegründet, folgte im selben Jahr das erste Modell der Marke - ein vollgefedertes Trailbike, welches zu einer Zeit, als es quasi nur XC-Hardtails oder klobige Downhiller gab, wie ein Blitz in die Mountainbiking-Szene einschlug. Seitdem ist Santa Cruz bekannt für unvergleichliche MTB's aus sämtlichen Kategorien, die wieder und wieder die Grenzen des Fahrspaßes und der Abfahrts-Performance neu definieren. Über die Jahre ist so aus dem kleinen Garagenunternehmen eine international bei Sportlern geschätzte Premium-Marke geworden, die neben qualitativ hochwertigen Fahrrädern auch Carbonlaufräder in ihrer eigenen Carbonrahmen-Fabrik produziert.
Lebenslange Garantie
Als Premium-Hersteller setzt Santa Cruz höchste Ansprüche in ihrer Herstellung an und legt viel Wert auf guten Kundenservice. Aus diesem Grund bieten sie für Erstbesitzer eine lebenslange Garantie auf Rahmen und einige andere Teile wie z.B. ihre Reserve Carbon Laufräder. Zusätzlich bieten sie im Falle des Nicht Greifens der Garantie ihren Kunden die Möglichkeit des Crash-Replacements - ein Angebot von Ersatzteilen zu einem reduzierten Preis.
Technologie
Santa Cruz ist heute besonders aufgrund ihrer Carbon-Kompetenz beliebt. Im hauseigenen Carbon-Labor wird stetig an der Entwicklung neuer Herstellungsverfahren und unterschiedlicher Carbon-Layups geforscht. Davon profitieren die in der eigenen Carbonrahmen-Fabrik hergestellten Fahrradrahmen und auch sämtliche anderen Carbonteile. Weiterhin nutzen sie seit 2001 ihre Virtual Pivot Point Technologie, ein Hinterbausystem mit zwei gegenläufigen Hebeln, das für eine robuste, zuverlässige und performante Dämpfung sorgt.
Radsport-Förderung
Santa Cruz ist großer Förderer des Radsports an sich: Neben dem weltbekannten Santa Cruz Syndicate Downhill Team, welches eine Vielzahl an Weltmeister-Titeln aufweisen kann, sponsern sie auch andere bekannte Mountainbike-Teams und einzelne Sportler aus der ganzen Welt. Doch damit nicht genug - Santa Cruz steht für Mountainbiking aus Leidenschaft, und so unterstützen sie Radsport-Veranstaltungen und Projekte wie das PayDirt Trailbauprojekt und bieten z.B. ihren Mitarbeitern bezahlte freie Tage für Engagement in der Trailpflege.
Santa Cruz Bikes
Santa Cruz bietet leistungsstarke Mountainbikes aus den Kategorien Downhill, XC, Enduro und Trailbike. Ein Santa Cruz Fahrrad ist dabei immer das Ergebnis langjähriger Entwicklung und Optimierung der Geometrie, Pedalier-Effizienz, Abfahrts-Performance und des Fahrwerks, damit jeder Rider das perfekt auf seinen Fahrstil abgestimmte Bike erhält. Bekannte Santa Cruz MTB's sind z.B. das Enduro-MTB Santa Cruz Nomad, die Cross-Country Rennmaschine Blur, aber auch das Mountain-lastige Gravel Bike Santa Cruz Stigmata. Santa Cruz E-Bikes
Obwohl der Fokus der Marke auf sportiven, motorlosen Mountainbikes liegt, kann sich auch Santa Cruz dem E-MTB Virus nicht ganz entziehen: Die Produktpalette des Premium-Herstellers enthält mittlerweile zwei E-Mountainbike Modelle, die ihre Carbon-Kompetenz mit der langjährigen Erfahrung, die leistungsstärksten Mountainbikes der Welt zu bauen kombiniert.
