Über Ghost
Die 1993 von den beiden Freunden und Bike-Enthusiasten Uwe Kalliwoda und Klaus Möhwald in der heimischen Garage in der Oberpfalz gegründete Firma Ghost Bikes überzeugt durch ihre sportlichen Mountainbikes. Seit den Anfängen der Marke liegt der Fokus ihrer Produktlinie auf leistungsfähigen MTB's, insbesondere Fullys im Trail-, All Mountain- und Endurobereich. Auch Cross-Country Bikes des Herstellers ergatterten bereits Podiumsplätze in diversen Wettkämpfen. Im Laufe der Zeit gelangten neben Mountainbikes auch E-Bikes sowie Urban- und Trekkingbikes in das Sortiment der Firma, welche auf Qualität "Made in Germany" setzt und ihre Rahmen am Firmenstandort Waldsassen produziert. Mittlerweile ist Ghost ein international bekanntes und angesehenes Unternehmen, welches für qualitativ hochwertige Bikes mit modernster Technik und einem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis steht.
Technologie
Bereits zu den Anfängen der Marke setzte Ghost auf die zweckorientierte Entwicklung neuer Technologien im Bereich des Mountainbiking. Mit Fokus auf das Gesamtkonzept wird jedes Rad auf das jeweilige Einsatzgebiet zugeschnitten. Beispiele für solche Technologien sind SuperFit, die durch optimale Positionierung der Kontaktpunkte und Größenanpassung der Anbauteile eine optimale Geometrie für jede Größe und jeden Fahrstil ermöglicht, sowie das Federungssystem TractionLink, welches für mehr Traktion und verbesserte Kontrolle beim Up- und Downhill fahren sorgt.
Radsport-Förderung
Engagement im Profi-Radsport ist etwas, was sich Ghost seit seiner Gründung auf die Fahne geschrieben hat. So gewann z.B. Sabine Spitz 2008 bei den olympischen Spielen im Bereich Cross-Country auf einem Ghost Bike. Des Weiteren unterhält Ghost diverse Teams wie das Factory Racing Team, in denen Spitzensportler und sogar Weltmeister gefördert werden.
Ghost Bikes
Ein Ghost Fahrrad ist immer eine perfekt auf seine Rolle zugeschnittene Performance-Maschine. Besonders an einem Ghost Mountainbike merkt man, dass die Marke vor allem für ihre MTB's bekannt ist, was sich natürlich entsprechend in der Leistung widerspiegelt.
