The Focus brand is a premium brand of Derby Cycle Works and was first introduced in 1992. While initially only sportive mountain-bikes were built, the product range was extended by trekking bikes, racing-cycles and triathlon-specific bikes in the following years. In 2006, the first Focus carbon frame was built. Especially in the Road Segment and time trial, more and more professionals are switching to Focus carbon frames. Initially, the company had only six mountain bikes in its product range. Today, the many different Focus Bikes are available in over 60 countries. Except for the tube frame manufacturing, the Focus Bikes are completely designed and manufactured in Germany, which makes them flagship products of german engineering.
